Trump Hotel - It's FanTASTIC!!!

Brian West and I went to Chicago this past Monday to visit the Trump Hotel. In a word: INCREDIBLE. You all will LOVE this place. It is truly a luxury hotel. It's new, modern, tasteful, practical, and just plain awesome. The are wonderful views of the city from all over the 16th floor where the conference is being held. Even the exercise room has a five-star view of downtown Chicago!

Be ready for some more updates very soon!

Video files and presentations are all done!

We are happy to let you know that we have finally finished all of the transcoding of the video files and there is a torrent file available. Thanks to all those who are seeding the files for us and thanks to William King for creating a nice torrent file that makes it easy to pick out the exact videos you wish to download.

The torrent file is here:

ClueCon News and Updates - July 21, 2009

Only two more weeks! We are all eagerly anticipating this year's event. The ClueCon team has been busy:

Everyone please give a special thanks to Brian K West for doing all the difficult work of making arrangements with the hotel both for rooming and for the conference facility. We've been able to extend the early bird special through July 21st. Hotel rooms are still available but they are definitely going fast.

Anthony's hard work as also paid off: ClueCon now has Nokia as a sponsor! Nice work.

ClueCon News and Updates - July 7, 2009

I wanted to keep everyone updated on ClueCon happenings. First off, if you look to the left you'll see that we've posted the breakfast and lunch menus for all three days of the conference. Please check it out. Second, we have a synopsis of the talk to be given by Irv Shapiro of IfByPhone:

ClueCon News And Updates - June 30, 2009

I thought I would give everyone a quick update as to what's been happening with ClueCon 2009. Preparations are still in the works and the schedule is still being tweaked but suffice it to say that we've got lots of great speakers and the schedule will be FULL.

We've added two new media sponsors recently: Biz-News.com and Avicom. Please click the links on the right side of the page and check them out.

Interesting Talk: Video Processing in an Open Source Environment

Here is the abstract for the talk that will be given by Antony Martin of Dialogic:

Video is becoming an increasingly important component in designing next generation communications systems, which include such diverse applications as voice/video conferencing, security, and interactive training.  However, the complexities of effectively implementing video are an obstacle to the widespread deployment of these types of applications.

New Speaker Announcements: Irv Shapiro, Shai Berger, Moshe Yudkowsky

We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed several more ClueCon veterans to speak at this year's event:

New Speaker Announcements: Jim Van Meggelen, Arnie Goodstien

I want to let you all know that we've got more speakers and subjects slotted for this year's event:

Jim Van Meggelen, co-author of "the starfish" book, will be speaking on the subject, "Using Sangoma TxTristate for delivering High Availability." Jim gives this synopsis:

Using Sangoma Wanpipe and Linux Heartbeat it is now possible to build a PBX with full hot-standby--including the PRI circuit. This means that using inexpensive hardware, it is possible to bring a higher level of redundancy to the enterprise.

I'm definitely looking forward to that one.

Moises Silva Speaking at ClueCon 2009

FYI, I just wanted everyone to know that Moises has a ClueCon entry on his blog. Check it out!

We are very happy to have Moises scheduled to speak at ClueCon this year. If you haven't already signed up then call now and we'll get you all set! 877.742.CLUE
