New Speaker Announcements: Irv Shapiro, Shai Berger, Moshe Yudkowsky

We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed several more ClueCon veterans to speak at this year's event:

  • Dr. Moshe Yudkowsky will once again kick things off with the opening talk on Tuesday morning. Moshe is very energetic and really gets the crowd going. Stay tuned for more information as we wait for Dr. Yudkowsky to give us his topic.
  • Fonolo CEO Shai Berger knew from the start his company would need to have both Web and mobile interfaces. As a start-up with minimal funding, Shai will talk about design decisions Fonolo made to optimize for that situation.  What did they learn along the way?  What lessons can be translated to other developers?  With the introduction of Fonolo’s API, developers can now build applications that interact with the Deep Dialing service, allowing them to search Fonolo’s directory of companies, display the full text of the phone menu for a selected company, initiate a Deep Dial process to any node in the phone menu, skipping as many steps as possible and route calls to any PSTN number or SIP address.
  • With the barriers to entry dropping, many new companies are appearing with a variety of web service APIs designed to facilitate the placement and receipt of telephone calls.  While this is an exciting development, which will empower thousands of developers, it is not enough.  In this session Irv Shapiro will look at successes in the software as a service space, compare these to the cloud telephony space, and apply these lessons to telephony.  He’ll include case studies of successful, revenue producing cloud telephone solutions.  And, he will review both the technical architecture of the solution and the business models.

We look forward to seeing you all at ClueCon this August!
